Problem/Need/Opportunity
Filipino Culture Night is a completely student-run production that portrays historical, current and envisioned events within the Filipino and Filipino-American community through theater and dancing. For the past 24 years, FCN has successfully provided a culturally enriching experience for students, faculty and the community.

The production ranges from $10,000-$17,000 every year. The funding covers the expenses of costumes, props, sets, lighting, promotions, DVDs and the venue. Because funding has commonly been the number one issue every year, I want to create an online community that may encourage current students, alumni and future participants to donate to this expensive production.

This website will serve as a useful tool for past, current or potential coordinators to learn more about the position and vital aspects of the production. In addition, they way it will be presented may reassure alumni or potential sponsors to donate.

Audience
Strictly for the sake of time, the intended audience will be for past, current and potential FCN coordinators. There are 24 coordinators that came before me and many more coordinators to come. My secondary audience can be for members, alumni, sponsors and anyone associated with FCN. The audience will generally be aware of the production, but to see an organized, professional-looking Web site may improve the production's reputation and sponsorship opportunities.

Environment
Physical: The coordinator can constantly refer to this web site when they need guidance or advice on anything.

Technical: Since there will be some multimedia on the web site, people should preferably have standard Internet connection with standard multimedia programs such as Adobe reader, Flash player. There may be sounds for videos, so it may be suggested that viewers have earphones when they are in a public setting.

Social: The amount of people who read the web site doesn't necessarily matter. However, if the coordinator wants to brainstorm ahead of time, they will most likely be reading the web site by themselves.

Resources and Limitations
The actual text will be collected from past productions and some of them are already prepared. Since I'm coordinating this year's production, it won't be difficult to gather my sources (i.e. written documents, pictures, videos). Many sources are from other so I'll be sure to credit them. Though we have a limited time to create the web site, the fact that I have text and sources readily available so make the process of bringing everything together simple. I believe my biggest challenge will be stylizing the web site.

General Solution
Every year new Filipino Culture Night coordinators ask themselves, "How am I supposed to run this production?" Some coordinators would rely on their own natural talents or play it ear-by-ear. Many coordinators get in touch with the earlier coordinators to seek for advice. But none of them created some kind of community that will help every coordinator. Not only will this web site give a depth idea of what the production entails, but potential coordinators will be able to start brainstorming ideas for their production. Anyone who reads this before becoming coordinator will be more prepared than any past coordinator has ever been.
